About Small Bites Rescue

Small Bites Rescue is a new rescue based in Brooklyn, NY! Veterinarian founded and after seeing so many pet owners adopt pets from rescues where many were left in the dark on underlying issues our goal is to be as transparent and thorough as possible. Because we don’t have to refer (much) to other veterinary hospitals we can do more diagnostics at cost than other rescues that may get a discount at a vet but still have to pay higher prices.

If you’re interested in applying to adopt one of our pups, complete our application form. You can expect to hear back from one of our volunteers within 1 week. Please include at least one dog that you are interested in adopting.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees are based on the age of the dog you’re adopting.

1-8 years

8+ years

$250

*For senior citizens adopting a senior citizen dog (12+ years), adoption fees are waived.

Foster a Dog

Fostering a dog is a rewarding opportunity to care for a dog and prepare them for their forever home. If you’re interested in fostering with Small Bites Rescue, please complete our foster application.

Foster Expectations

Fosters are expected to provide the following for the duration of housing a dog:

Nurturing Well-being

Food, behavioral support, and socialization.

Veterinary Care Logistics

Transport to Small Bites Rescue for appointments.

Emergency Response

Transport to VERG in cases of urgency.

Adoption Connections

Coordinating transport or visitation with potential adopters.

Other Opportunities

If you’d like to support us but cannot foster at this time, please consider volunteering your time to help us promote, process applications, or any other skill you can contribute!
